Blackmores Folic Acid is a source of folic acid which, if taken daily for one month before conception and during pregnancy, supports the healthy development of the baby's nervous system.
Convenient once-a-day formula
One of 8 B-vitamins
Used during pre-conception and pregnancy
Folic acid also plays an incredibly important role in the production of genetic material (DNA and RNA) and is required for cellular division. It also plays a role in the manufacture of red blood cells and strengthening the immune system.
Take 1 tablet a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed. For children under 12 years of age, only use as professionally prescribed.
Do not exceed the stated dose of folic acid except on medical advice. If you have had a baby with a neural tube defect you should seek specific medical advice. Not to be taken with other folic acid-containing supplements. Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet. The efficacy of folic acid supplements may be decreased by co-trimoxazole, sulphasalazine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone and methotrexate. Folic acid may decrease the effectiveness of methotrexate in the treatment of leukaemia
