Spirulina is a microscopic freshwater algae. Spirulina contains plenty of protein, iron, magnesium and zinc. Spirulina's deep, dark green, bluish color tells about its color pigments, leafy greens or chlorophylls. Spirulina was chosen in Finland in 2015 for the Plants of the Year.
